Privacy Notice
How mythossystems.net handles information when you browse the site, use Ask Mythos, or submit the contact form.
Operator Identity
mythossystems.net is operated by Mythos Systems ("Mythos Systems," "we," "us," or "our"), an independent advanced-engineering studio.
Privacy inquiries may be submitted through our contact form using the "Privacy Inquiry" category. Alternatively, you may contact our designated privacy mailbox at privacy@mythossystems.net, or our general address at contact@mythossystems.net.
Information We Collect
We minimize the data we collect. The information we process falls into three categories:
- Server Logs: Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard request logs, including timestamps, requested paths, HTTP status codes, user-agent strings, and approximate network identifiers (IP addresses). These are used strictly for security, reliability, and operational purposes.
- Contact Form Submissions: When you use the contact form at /contact, we collect your name, email address, subject, message content, category, and a record of your privacy acknowledgement. Organization details may be collected if voluntarily provided. Attachments are not accepted.
- Local Storage Data: We may store your UI theme preferences in your browser's local storage.
Prohibited Submissions: Under no circumstances should you submit passwords, private keys, API tokens, confidential configurations, regulated personal information (e.g., health or financial data), or information you are not authorized to share via our contact form. We are not liable for the exposure of such information if voluntarily submitted to an unsecured public contact channel.
How We Use Information
We use collected information strictly for the following legitimate business purposes:
- To review, respond to, and manage inquiries submitted via the contact form.
- To monitor for abuse, rate-limit bots, and ensure the security and stability of the website.
- To maintain limited operational audit records (e.g., delivery outcomes of contact form emails).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Ask Mythos (AI Guide)
Ask Mythos is a retrieval-based feature that answers questions about Mythos Systems using an approved public website corpus.
- On-Device Processing: Optional on-device intelligence may be activated only after an explicit user action (e.g., clicking "Download intelligence"). When activated in a supported browser with WebGPU, prompts are processed locally by default and are never transmitted to Mythos Systems servers for model inference.
- Data Caching: If on-device intelligence is used, model weights may be downloaded and cached in your browser storage. You can clear this data at any time via the Ask Mythos settings.
- Limitations of AI: Ask Mythos cannot submit forms, send emails, or access private repositories. AI-generated answers may be inaccurate. You acknowledge that Ask Mythos outputs do not constitute professional, medical, legal, financial, or security advice, and Mythos Systems bears no liability for actions taken based on these outputs.
Local Storage & Device Data
The site may store theme preferences in browser local storage and Ask Mythos conversation state in session storage for the current tab. When on-device intelligence is prepared, model assets may be cached by the browser. These controls remain entirely on your device. Mythos Systems cannot access this data; it is cleared by you through your browser settings or the Ask Mythos reset function.
Third-Party Services
We rely on select third-party vendors to operate the website. These vendors act as independent data processors, and your use of the site is subject to their respective privacy policies:
- Hosting Infrastructure: Utilized to serve the website and store server logs.
- Proton Mail: Utilized for the secure delivery of contact form submissions via SMTP. We use your validated email address for the "Reply-To" field; we do not spoof visitor addresses.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: Utilized for anti-abuse and bot mitigation on the contact form. Cloudflare may process challenge data according to its own terms and privacy disclosures.
Note: We do not currently deploy third-party analytics products. If analytics are added in the future, this notice will be updated.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to review and respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, and maintain limited operational audit records (such as timestamps and delivery outcomes). Hosting logs follow the retention settings of our infrastructure provider. Browser-local Ask Mythos data remains under your exclusive control until cleared by you.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., California, the European Economic Area), you may have specific rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to request access to or a copy of your personal data.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- The right to request deletion of your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten").
- The right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (We do not sell or share data as defined by the CCPA).
To exercise these rights, please submit a request via the "Privacy Inquiry" category on our contact form or email privacy@mythossystems.net. We will verify your identity before processing your request.
Security & Responsible Disclosure
Mythos Systems applies commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute data security.
Security researchers and users who discover vulnerabilities affecting public properties should report them through the Security Disclosure channel described at /security.
Governing Law & Limitations
This Privacy Notice shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mythos Systems is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mythos Systems, its operators, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of your use of the website or the Ask Mythos feature.
Policy Changes
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Notice at any time as our site behavior, hosting, or contact infrastructure evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed of any changes.
